About

My wife Krisann, mixes up a wonderful type of sangria that was quickly dubbed Krisanngria.  This potion cast a spell on many people.  Family and friends at parties, cook outs, and the camp-reunions would line up, cup in hand, for a taste.   Krisanngria was regularly whipped up for events, holidays and gift-giving.  Many have tried to obtain the recipe for Krisanngria. But for one person, the recipe has remained a secret.

Around the same time as Krisanngria was gaining popularity in our social circles, we were checking off a long time bucket-list item by learning to sail.  After a few years of day-sailing, we discovered a boat with (just barely) enough room to double as a summer place.  The purchase decision was a challenging enough for us, but not nearly as challenging as the process of naming the boat.  From the weighty to the cheesy, hundreds of names were considered and rejected.    In the end, we christened her “Krisanngria”.  It was unique, fun, and in line  with tradition of giving boats female names.

For us, Krisanngria has evolved to be synonymous with good times and dare I say, the much overused “lifestyle”.  This blog will be part informal sailing log, part diary, and part record of the things meaningful to us.  We would like to share these stories with you as we learn to sail, eat good food, drink good drink, listen to good music and enjoy our friends.
